Due to continual growth the need for an accountant to assist in the financial reporting of the club has arisen.

                                      

Responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Management including cashflow management, approving creditor pay runs, oversight over debtors and revenue transactions, internal controls, journal entries, balance sheet recs, managing accounts to trial balance 
  • Financial Reporting including monthly board reporting and other regular management reporting
  • Payroll overseeing and processing where necessary
  • Legislative requirements including BAS, FBT and Tax requirements
  • Analytical - assessment and reporting
  • Budgeting assisting in the preparation, management and overseeing
  • Co-ordinating yearly financial audits liaising with external auditors
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assisting in data processing where necessary

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years experience in a finance role.
  • Qualifications in Accounting
  • Experience of Xero software 
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Experience in preparing end of period transactions and related financial reports
  • Problem solving skills
  • A professional approach maintaining sensitive and confidential information
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience analysing and interpreting financial data and communication of such data
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of accounting principles involved in all the areas that form part of the preparation of the financial statements, budgeting, costing, monitoring and projecting cash flow
  • Capacity to work with a minimum of supervision and proven ability to work to deadlines

This is a flexible role that will require 20 - 25 hour per week. The role is ideally suited to school hours 5 days a week. An attractive salary will be negotiated with the right candidate that reflects on skill, experience and track record.
