Based at our office in Launceston, this is an exciting opportunity for a person seeking to project manage energy initiatives from concept through to operational handover in a dynamic working environment.
Reporting to the GM Engineering and Operations, you will be required to:
Lead a small team with two direct reports.
Design, evaluate and establish the customer value proposition and generate and recognise solutions and innovations for delivery of that value proposition in a commercially viable manner.
Assist with preparing business cases for initiatives.
Plan, coordinate and undertake risk assessments / HAZOPs and Safety Management Studies for all assigned projects and initiate and manage appropriate risk control and mitigation strategies.
Build strong relationships with and regularly liaise with key representatives of all project stakeholders and suppliers.
Manage project resources ensuring they are available and efficiently deployed to address strategic needs and maintain a sustained project service delivery to meet operational objectives.
Oversee feasibility studies (from pre to bankable), prepare capital and operational budgets, and project plans, and assist in the preparation of investment committee documentation.
Oversee the negotiations to secure connection to and services from external utilities to support the rollout of Tas Gas assets.
Liaise, build and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders to the project.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in engineering or similar.
Manufacturing / operations or appropriate project management qualifications.
Extensive project lifecycle experience (10+ years) across all phases from concept to handover with a minimum of five years within a maintenance or construction environment.
Proven ability to initiate, identify, scope and oversee the development of innovative infrastructure solutions.
Proven ability with managing project budgets and schedules.
Proven Contract Management skills including working knowledge of AS4000 series of general conditions of contract.
Proven ability to manage and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders while maintaining focus on the key project deliverables (safety/cost/time/quality).
Highly developed commercial acumen and strategic focus.
Expertise in identifying, scoping, and delivering growth/business initiatives and supporting relationships with suppliers and customers until successful completion of initiatives.
Willingness to travel intra and interstate to other TGN sites when required.
Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence.
