About the role
We are looking for an experienced graphic designer to join our Marketing team on a part time basis (up to four days per week (with spread of hours to be negotiated) and to use their creativity to bring our print and digital assets to life.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing visual communications and resources including arts and layouts of text for a range of marketing and communication material, and developing creative concepts to achieve Queensland Theatre's objectives. The Graphic Designer is expected to:
maintain high standards in graphic design and produce cutting edge creative content for both print and digital that represents the expectations of the business and brand positioning;
be a hands-on operator with excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills who can work across a number of platforms and juggle conflicting priorities with a flexible, can-do attitude; and
work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Skills and experience
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:-
at least five years' graphic design experience developing creative design solutions with high proficiency in design software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat on Mac and PC platforms;
ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality work within guidelines supported by strong organisational and attention to detail skills;
ability to communicate and collaborate engaging a customer service mindset, with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives and deadlines are met;
ability to give and receive constructive feedback on creative output;
demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive to changing demands;
ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in planning, organising and delivering on multiple projects to meet deadlines; and
a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create high quality output.

From time to time, the position requires some out-of-hours work to fulfill the requirements of the role.
