We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager on a full-time permanent basis for our client based in South East QLD. This role will focus on business development activities, sales, account management, and expanding into new markets and geographical areas throughout QLD and interstate.

Building and expanding business development activities and increasing brand awareness for all brands across the company – the company is SBG and is made up of the following brands: SBG Brands, The Lab Coat Company, and Spencil.
Be responsible for new business development, sales, developing B2B relationships, maintaining existing business relationships, account management, and increasing brand awareness in the marketplace.
Grow and develop each brand in new and existing markets and geographic regions in line with organisational goals, growth plans, and values of the company.
Work closely with the Managing Director and General Manager to develop strategic business development activities that will meet organisational goals.
Work closely with Customer Service & Sales Support Manager to ensure excellent and ongoing customer service and account management is achieved for all clients and customers.
Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Report directly to the General Manager and liaise with other SBG staff, and other internal and external stakeholders, as required.
RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience working in a business development, B2B sales, account management, or similar type of role.
Highly developed customer service, networking, and business development skills to create business and sales opportunities in new and existing markets and geographic areas.
Experience working with businesses of all sizes and an understanding of the following sectors would be advantageous: university, education, health care, aged care, retail, stationery, and other similar sectors.
Experience in developing and presenting proposals, quotes, and sales agreements for prospective and existing clients.
Demonstrated experience working towards sales targets and KPIs.
Keen organisational and communication skills.
Capable of being attentive and timely with administrative tasks.
The ability to work towards and meet regular KPIs, targets and/or deadlines.
The ability to work autonomously whilst also contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Competent skills in Microsoft Office package.
Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or other relevant discipline is desirable, however not essential.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Brisbane/South East Queensland.
Salary for the role is negotiable based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and fit for the role; salary will be in the range circa $80k base + super.
You will be expected to travel in this role, and a car or car allowance will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
You will be required to meet targets and KPIs in this role and there will be performance related bonuses based on successfully meeting these targets.
Culture and team fit will be an important determinant for the organisation in recruiting for this role.
You will be required to meet with the General Manager and other team members regularly, as required.
There is a mix of remote, on the road, and office-based work for this role.
Must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
