Tenement Manager

AMETS (Australian Mining & Exploration Title Services) is a leading tenement management consultancy service providing tenement management support across Australia. The AMETS team have a dynamic work scope which focuses on the statutory compliance for exploration and mining projects throughout Australia, helping clients achieve and maintain compliance with relevant statutory obligations. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, energetic and proactive Tenement Manager.

The ideal candidate will have experience in tenement management in Western Australia. This position is a work from home arrangement and is either part-time or full time for the right the applicant.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the AMETS geological team;
  • Maintenance and management of relevant statutory requirements;
  • Working collaboratively and managing strong relationships with internal staff, stakeholders, and government agencies.
  • Preparation and completion of various correspondence, submissions and reports to various government authorities;
  • Providing assistance in the identification and management of land access, safety, environmental, cultural heritage, and native title matters as they apply to tenure.

 Skills and attributes:

  • Hold a knowledge of appropriate compliance standards with statutory requirements relating to mineral tenement matters in Western Australia;
  • Experience in due diligence, including an understanding of operational mining processes, will be viewed favourably;
  • Experience in interpreting Western Australian legislation and departmental processes;
  • Advanced written and oral English language skills is a must;
  • High level knowledge of and proven experience in provision of administrative support in a complex and regulatory environment;
  • Database management experience with software similar to Lease Control or another tenement management software would be looked upon favourably;
  • High competency in Microsoft Office and computer skills;
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills, written and verbal communications as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • A commitment to excellent client service and strong problem-solving skills;
  • Self-motivated and driven along with a readiness to ensure both high quality work and ethical standards are met.
