We are looking for a full-time in-house direct response copywriter. The position is offered to someone who is living within Australia only.
We are looking to pay $70K to $90K for the position. Depending on your skillset.
You will work alongside our marketing strategist and managers to help research and implement copy as well as provide strategic insight to all things copy.
The mission for our copywriter is to write compelling direct response copy that drives prospects to take specific calls to action. They must write in a way that is engaging, emotional and demonstrates empathy and relatability to our prospects.
Who are we
We're a young remote Australian Digital Marketing Agency that specialises in lead generation/digital marketing for the dentistry and financial planning niches.
Our mission in the next 12 months is to expand in the dental implant sector and become one of the biggest dental implant service providers in Australia.
We will work with only the safest and most ethical dental implant providers. These providers will produce the highest standards of work in the industry.

Work closely with the digital strategist and account managers to help them strategise, coordinate, implement and deliver on marketing objectives
Take ownership of your copy briefs and answer them to a very high standard
Thinking strategically to ideate and execute key messages across channels with our customers being front of mind
Write in a series of formats and adapting writing styles to whatever is required
Formats: Websites, emails, landing pages, search and social advertising copy
Potential styles: Storytelling, Long & emotive, short & factual, transactional, etc
Aligns with brand voice and tone as required
Take ownership of being the primary researcher within 6 months - anything to do with better understanding the audience, market and competition.
You will initially help, but within 12 months be a strategist and take ownership on ongoing marketing projects tied closely to copy e.g. email marketing strategy, landing page strategy, facebook ad copy
Take ownership of copy processes, and build SOPs documents and templates. Along with working with managers to incorporate into the current overall marketing system. We rely on processes to scale the business and create a consistent quality of work.
In the first 6 months, review all existing copy assets, update them to be more in-line with audience and branding
Within 6 months, take ownership of own process and develop project management skills - scoping out the project, managing own and potentially other timelines, seeing projects through to delivery, giving feedback and collaborating with designers
Use data from campaign performance to introduce new copy ideas, copy strategies or angles
Play a big part in generating new and fresh ideas for marketing campaigns
Who you are
You have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in direct response and lead generation copywriting
You have worked in a digital agency environment before and are comfortable working on multiple projects at once
Youve written in a series of different formats and channels (Landing pages, Facebook ads, Email Marketing, Webinars and other Lead gen funnels) and can provide a portfolio to showcase your past work/results
You have experience writing long-form, story-based copywriting that utilises the Heros Journey
Knowledge of Andre Chaperon, Todd Brown, Lukas Resheske or similar material is a bonus
You can quickly critique external third party copy and imitate and utilize the good parts for yourself if needed
You understand the importance of a consistent and unique message and emphasise on the importance of writing in a consistent tone of voice
You are able to write with emotion and persuasiveness
You can put yourself in other peoples shoes and understand what other people are feeling/needing
Fundamental Marketing Knowledge
You understand the fundamental principles of marketing and various marketing frameworks/funnels
You have a deep understanding of awareness levels and know what type of copy to write for each of the different awareness levels
You demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and can create copy strategies to fit them
You can spot out strategic misalignment between the copy and the overall strategy and provide recommendations if needed
You are great at planning your writing ahead of time and are very process-oriented in your planning
You have a strong process in producing copy - from the research phase (producing market research, audience research and competitor analysis) to the writing phase, you have your own methods and processes. When giving a task to write, you already have a good idea of what to look for, what to do, and how long things should take
Strong attention to detail
As a copywriter, you have a high grasp of spelling, punctuation and grammar
You will make sure all work and drafts you submit has been proofread before submitting for approval
You understand how to read performance data and use data to improve the results of the campaign
Youve written copy that has a direct impact on the business bottom-line and can provide examples
Can think outside the box
You are always looking for new ways to solve problems and dont always rely on traditional methods to do things
You can come up with ideas from a different point of view
Excellent Communicator & Team Member
You communicate clearly, effectively, and with respect - fluent English is required
You have worked with other digital marketers and designers before and know how to communicate when working on complex projects
You must be willing to use the same communication tools (Slack) and project management tools (ClickUp) that we use - training will be provided
Punctual & Know Deadlines
You attend meetings on time
You have a strong sense of responsibility to make sure work is completed on time and will do what is required to make sure that the deadline given is met - (Or communicate early on if a deadline is at risk)
Were a young business, and roles change quickly, but in a good way - you can adapt to any changes in requirements of scope and perform tasks in ways that might not always be how you do things
We may have specific learnings that we may need you to come across or to learn to write in a certain way that aligns with the business' objectives
You must be open to adopting new ideas
