By joining the team, you will be based in a central riverfront Brisbane CBD office, close to transport, amenities and be within an A Grade office tower. In the role of Finance Officer you will be working on the day to day operations of the commercial property portfolio with the Financial Controller. You will employ the highest level of communications and ethical standards to ensure the operations of the group takes place in a timely and professional manner.

The Finance Officers role is to provide support to the Financial Controller with routine daily, weekly and monthly tasks. The main duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Accounts receivable functions including tenant receipting
Accounts payable functions including processing invoice / purchase orders and preparing weekly payment batches in both the banking and accounting platforms
Filing of creditor invoices
Arrears reporting and management
Preparation of monthly lease charges for the whole portfolio and distribution of charges to Brisbane tenants
Processing of general ledger journals
Review Superannuation payments
Preparation of capital expenditure reports for Property Function
Assist with the annual budget process
Assist with the annual outgoings audit
Prepare letters for updated annual outgoings and cleaning charges
Archiving as required
Assist with the information required for the annual tax review
Understanding and preparation of weekly cash flow reporting
Assistance with and understanding of BAS reporting
Provide cover for payroll processing
Preparation of prepayments and accruals and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Analysis of any financial information where required
Assist the Property Management team with specific property related financial queries
Provide business support to the Management team
Any ad hoc tasks as required by the CEO, COO and FC
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience as a Finance Officer.
Well-developed skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite, in particular; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as property-based accounting software will be required.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in a close team environment.
