Workshop Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the quality of work performed and coordination of technicians working on all equipment to meet on time delivery
  • Reporting job status to Service Manager and others on scheduling of work
  • Constantly monitor all cost on jobs and report as required
  • Ensure safety policy and procedures are adhered to through on-going communication and Toolbox meetings
  • Ensure inventory/tooling available to complete on time delivery of repairs for rental and retail work
  • Ensure all related documentation is up-to-date and correctly processed in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Service Manager on identifying training and skills development of the team
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement
  • Supervision of direct reports
  • All other responsibilities as outlined in role task list (RACI)


About You:

  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills essential
  • Ability to plan, schedule and achieve set outcomes essential
  • Ability to relate to employees at all levels essential
  • Sound leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Background in similar industry and knowledge
  • Current experience in a leadership role with a minimum of two years' experience
  • Qualified background and knowledge in the mechanical stream
  • Understanding and knowledge of data base maintenance systems.
  • Good understanding of the OH&S principles and what is required in a workshop environment
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Sound computer skills, particularly MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
