Fleet Service Controller (Heavy Forklifts)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Service Controller to join our team in Altona

We are moving to a state of the art new facility in Aug 2021 which will be located in Sunshine West! 

You will have a proven track record working with forklifts or similar heavy equipment and be able to manage multiple tasks.  Understanding the importance of exceeding customer expectation on quality service and reliability of field service planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the efficient management of the Heavy forklifts road service mechanics ensuring the best possible benchmark practices are achieved in the field.

Working with the other interdependencies within the branch to ensure follow up and feedback to our customers exceeds their expectations.

Demonstrated ability to deliver productive, cost effective maintenance services

Assist with preparation of quotations for client repairs where needed, consult with the Service Manager throughout the process.

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining proper flow of work orders, invoicing, warranty claims and vendor invoicing.

  • Planning and co-ordination of parts on New Deliveries and Servicing for the Sales, Rental and Service departments.

Other Responsibilities:

The position currently is on after hours call out telephone diversions, so the position may receive after hour call outs.

The position may at times supervise or coordinator work for weekends.

About You:

Strong customer service focus and skills with a professional attitude and approach

Trade mechanical qualification Diesel mechanic/Plant mechanic/Diesel fitter

5 years post trade experience

Proven time management skills to effectively manage and deliver multiple priorities.

Demonstrated and proven record with supervision

Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-motivated

Experience in the coordination, planning and allocation of resources.

Good written and oral communication skills

Strong problem solving skills

Be able to communicate professionally and courteously at all times

Good computer skills with a sound grasp of the Microsoft Outlook & Excel

Exceptional time management skills to prioritise tasks

Strong sense of team work and work ethic
