SEO Specialist / Guru

Job Description

Due to major company growth and increased customer demand, we are expanding our existing sales & customer service team. 

We have 2 full-time positions available for immediate start.

Position Overview

As the SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for leading SEO programs, overseeing and assessing results and performance, keeping up with key trends, and discovering new, innovative ways to boost our client's brands SEO.
To be successful in this role, you must have a keen understanding of SEO best practices, strong analytical skills, and a knack for thinking outside the box. You must be a self-motivated individual who can see an initiative from ideation to final execution while incorporating feedback creatively and effectively assessing its results.

What Youll Do
 

  • Perform keyword research in coordination with our business objectives to optimise existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Assist the content team in optimising intent-based content to help secure top-ranking positioning in key areas
  • Monitor and evaluate SEO results and performance, identify key trends and insights and report results to the broader marketing and executive teams
  • Run technical audits, recommend optimisations and ensure SEO best practices are implemented to improve search crawlability
  • Develop and implement a link building strategy
  • Keep up to date with SEO trends, algorithm changes and content optimisation best practices
  • Communicate to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
  • Provide oversight and work closely with the other team members to meet organisation goals

Desired Skills
 

  • Proven track record of managing SEO programs
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
  • Strong analytical skills to collect, compile, organise, track and analyse data

Experience
 

  • 5 years of experience in SEO management
  • Proficient in SEO and web analytics tools such as Webmasters, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, as well as internal reporting tools
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new industries and new business types quickly and can apply this knowledge to internet marketing initiatives and achieving goals
  • Basic experience in areas such as HTML, content management systems and web analytics tools
