About the Role

This newly created role will offer rewarding development and growth opportunities for a highly motivated and passionate sales support professional who enjoys working as part of a dynamic and agile sales team.

The Sales Support Advisor will provide assistance and capability to the Connect Sales Team through effective tools, processes, governance and compliance, ensuring the Strategic Sales Leads can focus on their roles and drive profitable business growth through outstanding customer engagement and experience.

The objectives of this role are to support the operational development, strategic alignment and collaborative work practices across the Connect Sales organisation through CRM management and reporting, sales support, customer engagement and analytics and insights.

What you’ll do  

  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline and performance reports, monthly reports and dashboards that support consistent and accurate tracking of the Connect sales pipeline and achievement.
  • Manage the sales opportunity review process, ensuring conformance to process, approval delegations and tracking all review outcomes and decisions.
  • Leverage the use of Salesforce and LinkedIn Navigator to capture data, insights, trends and activity across target verticals to identify prospects for sales targeting.
  • Assist the Strategic Sales Leads with preparation of packs, information and insights as required including co-ordinating follow up actions and internal stakeholder engagement
  • Management of the Sales Enquiries email box including initial inbound enquiries, reviews of tender opportunities and distribution of inbox content across the team for action.
  • Provide first contact assistance for inbound customer enquiries received via channels into Connect (phone, web, email, social and campaign led activations).
  • Provide general sales support assistance to the Commercial Sales team including administrative tasks, reporting and data compilation.
  • Management of financial requirements including new supplier set up, purchase orders and invoice processing in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Assess opportunities through research and feedback gathering of tools and resources required to support the sales selling process including development of packs, content and supporting materials as directed.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism through effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail (such as preparation and monthly reporting), high ethical standards, and a commitment to achieve good business results.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a similar Sales Support/ Administration position with knowledge of sales practices and methodology.
  • Experience using CRM management tool - Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Self-managed and motivated individual able to work well independently and within a team
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate strong financial and business acumen
  • Able to capture data, research and provide insights to support customer meetings and engagement with prospects
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer experience and service delivery
  • Frontline sales experience along with Power BI reporting capability coupled with an interest in Technology and Customer Experience is highly desirable.
