Monash University, the Victorian State Government and Johnson & Johnson Innovation have entered into a public-private partnership agreement to establish Australia’s second Johnson & Johnson Innovation Partnering Office, located at Monash University Clayton ([email protected]).

A key career opportunity has arisen to undertake the role of Relationships and Operations Manager within the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Partnering Office at Monash ([email protected]) and for reporting requirements as outlined in the funding agreement between Johnson & Johnson, Monash and the State Government.
This high profile role will provide support to [email protected] to generate strong and beneficial stakeholder relations across the entire Victorian life-science ecosystem including with academics, industry, entrepreneurs, investors, government and affiliated professionals.
The position assists and encourages the breadth of the Victorian life-science ecosystem to engage with Johnson & Johnson in its areas of strategic partnering interest with the view to possible collaboration and investment. The position is responsible for identifying potential targets and technologies arising from Victoria and supporting their accelerated development and commercialisation. The position has specific responsibilities for facilitating presentations of translational research opportunities to Johnson & Johnson and their networks.
A key element of this role will be the business development component. In this, you will be expected to proactively identify new sources of and opportunities for collaboration with Johnson & Johnson with Victorian industry partners, innovators, entrepreneurs and investors. You will also be required to establish and nurture relationships with these key stakeholders for early collaboration opportunity identification. An important part of this role is to work with Johnson & Johnson to organise and deliver training, networking and mentoring events at [email protected] and elsewhere around Victoria.
To ensure your success in this role you will hold Education, training and/or relevant experience in biotechnology, health or a medical-related sector. Outstanding communication, event management and organisational skills are essential. You will have strong pre-existing networks across the Victorian life-science network and ecosystem with a passion for collaboration and commercialisation for the benefit of Victoria and patients everywhere.
