The Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) supports the successful delivery of major projects by providing technical advice, project oversight and assurance so that the full benefits of the significant investment in infrastructure are realised for all Victorians.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, Technical Advisory, this is a rare and exciting time to join OPV. Due to the growth of OPV, opportunities exist to join the team responsible for driving best practice project delivery advice and ensuring the health of major infrastructure projects now exists. With experience working in a complex multi-stakeholder environment within the infrastructure sector, you will:
Provide project assurance and oversight, focussing on scope and cost assurance of high value high risk projects
Coordinate Project Assurance Reviews relating to infrastructure delivery and system improvement
Lead due diligence review advice on asset investment proposals and business cases
Provide advice on improvements to the delivery of projects
Provide input to procurement and tender documentation and processes
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
Extensive project management of infrastructure related projects
Proven experience in providing authoritative advisory services in the delivery of infrastructure projects
Strong communication, stakeholder and risk management skills
Exceptional negotiation, judgement and interpersonal skills
The ability to collaborate and develop policy solutions
A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or other relevant discipline
