The Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) supports the successful delivery of major projects by providing technical advice, project oversight and assurance so that the full benefits of the significant investment in infrastructure are realised for all Victorians.
About the role
Reporting to the ED, Technical, this is a rare and exciting time to join OPV. Due to the growth of OPV, an opportunity exists to join the team responsible for driving best practice project delivery advice and ensuring the health of major infrastructure projects now exists. You will:
Provide project delivery entities with advice on good practice delivery methods
Lead Project Assurance Reviews on infrastructure projects
Lead advice on technical due diligence on asset investment proposals where required
Advise on improvements to the delivery of projects that are not tracking as they should be
Provide technical input to procurement and tender documentation and processes where required
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
Exceptional communication & stakeholder management skills, including the preparation of written advice
Extensive experience in planning, design and management of complex infrastructure projects in delivery
Strong working knowledge of technical due diligence activities
Strong understanding of engineering and design issues through all phases of the project
A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or other relevant discipline
