About the role:
The Digital Communications Co-ordinator is a team player who will be the brand custodian of the Regional Australia Institute (RAI), working across all external and internal engagement platforms. Ultimately, this role requires you to be an all-rounder, working under the supervision of the Corporate Affairs Director and a key member of the Communications and Engagement team.
This role is critical to supporting the whole RAI team to succeed, given youll be an integral part of our future success. This requires a perfectionist, with an eye for detail that understands the importance of working to a brief and adhering to timelines and deadlines. Honed design, layout, and typography skills are required with a progressive, strategic mindset that can adapt to creative projects. You must be a productive and efficient staff member. Ideally, wed love you to be as passionate about regional Australia as we are and that you have a desire be part of a culture focused on empowerment, curiosity, courage and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities include:
To assist in the delivery and execution of the communication objectives outlined in the RAI Communication strategy.
Oversight, management and execution of the current RAI website and the new Move to More website (an RAI product), working collaboratively across the business to keep them current, functional and user friendly.
The development and delivery of the RAI Social Media Strategy which incorporates all RAI events and programs, research releases and National Awareness Campaign, Move to More and build the parameters for ensuring overall growth in RAIs voice and amplification
The brand and design of all RAI communication products including RAI templates, research reports, presentations and all external collateral.
Assisting with editing and proof-reading of key RAI products.
The project management of the RAI Annual Report, including design, content creation and editing.
To support the Corporate Affairs Director and other senior team members where required.
Tertiary qualification in Digital Marketing and/or Design.
Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail, including strong proof reading, fact-checking skills and data analysis.
High-level of organisational skills within an office environment, including the ability to work effectively across multiple projects at the same time.
A positive approach to the workplace.
Applicants for the above position must be energetic and innovative individuals who show true passion for the prosperity of Regional Australia.
Ability and proven record of working in remote teams.
This position is full time based in the Canberra office or regional.
Strong knowledge and application of graphic design principles and methods.
Strong knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power point).
Strong formatting and layout skills for both print and web applications.
Basic HTML and WordPress knowledge.
Good understanding of Facebooks Ads Manager and how to maximise results from paid placements (preferable, but not required).
Experience in managing social media platforms.
Experience in using the Zoom webinar function.
Understanding of data analysis and how to drill down and gain insights from the information to identify opportunities.
The salary will be based on the level of experience and/or potential so whilst we are seeking 2-5 years minimum, a talented graduate with the right attitude and love of regional Australia would be considered.
