A long term contract has arisen for an experienced Procurement Officer to join a large Qld Government department and assist with
Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Undertake procurement and contract administration activities aligned with the procurement lifecycle including planning, sourcing and managing contracts.
Planning and assessment to understand the business needs, organisational demands and undertaking options analysis
Sourcing of goods and services using the appropriate sourcing strategy.
Manage and develop contracts and oversee performance and KPI's are met/
Raising of purchase orders, requesting quotes, supplier engagement, along with checking and balancing invoice payments.
Contribute to the development of procurement related services, processes, systems and initiatives
Act as a point of contact and advisor for all procurement related queries
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in a similar role where you have been responsible for the full procurement lifecycle within a Qld Government department
High level analytical and problem solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness
High level interpersonal and negotiation skills
High level organisational abilities to provide for efficient high-quality service delivery and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and
Collaborative, autonomous, flexible and agile working style and approach.
