ACCOMPLICE has been running for 4 years and is in the process of delivering its 4th NT Travelling Film Festival. It has reached an exciting chapter in its growth allowing it to undertake sustainable strategic planning and consolidation of existing programs, while also creating space to explore new partnerships and creative ideas.
This is a new role which gives you the ability to make it your own, establishing processes and strategic plans in partnership with the Director that will be built upon over the coming years.
ACCOMPLICE yearly program cycle is connected with the seasons of the Top End with planning, research and experimentation during the Wet Season and then delivery of the programs and partnership outcomes during the Dry, while maintaining ongoing administrative and strategic work throughout.
ACCOMPLICEs creative programs are embedded in the communities of the NT and delivered in partnership with the rich and exciting artists and creatives that call NT home. ACCOMPLICE works with a First Nation cultural consultant for all creative projects.
ACCOMPLICE is a regional creative producing company based on Larrakia Country that is committed to creating and delivering high quality projects and initiatives that are distinct to the Northern Territory, while connected nationally and internationally.
We believe that cultural experiences here should be as unique as the people, culture and landscapes that make up the place. ACCOMPLICE builds community capacity in partnership with key local arts and community organisations, develops art with audiences and artists with workshops and participatory programs, and collaborates cross-culturally with Aboriginal communities across the NT and with our Asian neighbours.
With a significant part of this role focused on one of ACCOMPLICEs key projects the NT Travelling Film Festival. Northern Territory Travelling Film Festival (NTTFF) celebrates and showcases the outstanding short film, television and video productions from the NT, capturing the stories, culture and landscape of our iconic region and the people that call it home. In 2021, the program is on the road from March through till August, with an outdoor cinema popping up under the stars, amongst popular hot spots, iconic landscapes, tourism events and in remote Aboriginal communities. The tour commences in the Central Desert and work its way up to the Top End of the NT. It also will deliver a new initiative the Water Tower Series in 2021.
ACCOMPLICE also delivers a range of other creative projects, community consultations and events in partnership with NT artists, community partners and stakeholders.
The Operations Manager reports to the Director. It will manage short term contract staff and creative contractors at various times.
Contract, Conditions and Hours of Work
The salary is $75,000 - $85,000 per annum pro rata depending on past experience.
This role is subject to funding agreements with the federal and state governments, this position is offered on a fixed term contract basis until June 30th 2022 (with an option to extend if funding is secured)
The role is subject to a three-month probation period.
This is a permanent position of 3 4 days per week (0.6-0.8 FTE role). This can be discussed in partnership with the successful applicant.
ACCOMPLICE is committed to a sustainable flexible working environment. This role will require some intrastate and interstate travel.
Superannuation is 9.5% as per statutory requirements. Leave entitlements are pro rata and include six weeks annual leave.
