About the role
We have an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to support our customer that is accountable to provide complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support to key branches of CIOG. As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for both the financial management and supplier management functions, along with reporting and communicating with senior stakeholders on financial performance and procurement matters. The successful candidate will ideally have Defence CIOG procurement experience and an ability to establish and maintain working relationships with varied stakeholders, and a keen willingness to identify and implement process improvements. Key accountabilities of the role include:
Responsible for procurement of ICTPA above-the-line service providers for the branch.
Providing complex procurement advice to Directors
Leading and undertaking procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and contract management activities
Manage the procurement process and produce procurement documentation, including approval documentation (Approval to Commence Procurement and Endorsement to Proceed), approach to market (RFT) documentation (utilising the DSS Panel templates and ICTPA Panel templates); financial commitment approval documentation, contract award documentation (Notification of Tenderer, Work Order) and purchase order documentation
Coordinate procurement evaluations and produce evaluation documents (Tender Evaluation Plan, Source Evaluation Report
Produce contract change proposals documentation (Contract extensions, Contract change orders)
Manage industry and stakeholder communications during procurements.
You thrive in a fast paced environment and you’ll be ready to ‘hit the ground running’ or have a high level of enthusiasm for learning and can pick up tasks quickly. You’ll also have:
Defence CIOG procurement experience (preferred)
Demonstrated ability in delivering complex procurements throughout the entire procurement lifecycle;
Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for managing work projects in a fast paced environment to achieve results in a professional and timely manner;
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure with a high attention to detail to meet deadlines;
Proven ability to work under broad direction with high levels of initiative.
Ideally you hold Procurement qualifications.
Eligibility: Due to the nature of the role and client requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold an active NV1 or higher level Australian Federal Government Security Clearance.
