The Finance Department is responsible for delivering an integrated, sustainable, and high-quality accounting and reporting service to the Michael Cassel Group and its investors in respect of all the Companys activities.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for accurate and compliant payroll transactions and payments for each production and the Michael Cassel Group corporate payroll. The Payroll Officer shall work closely with the Production Accountants, Group Reporting and Compliance Analyst, Assistant Accountant, Finance Administrator and Company Management and Production teams.
Key Functions Include:
Weekly pay runs on theatrical productions and fortnightly pay runs on MCG corporate payroll;
End to end payroll processing using Sage micro pay (Cloud), Connx and HR Onboarding software;
Review, check, process and reconcile the weekly payroll file;
Import EFT files to Westpac and ensuring pays are approved and released by cut-off;
Prepare all State tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions;
Assist in the reporting and administration of Workers Compensation claims;
Process new and terminating employee's information;
Ensure timely delivery of pay slips and STP reporting to the ATO;
Manage leave entitlements and payments;
Liaise with ATO on any issues;
Assist with month-end reporting as required;
Answer general payroll enquiries and payroll issues as requested;
Maintain and update Employee personnel record maintenance/ employee master files;
Work closely with Director, People and Culture on employment matters;
Maintain an audit trail for all work undertaken and liaise with auditors as directed; and
Other duties as directed.

Meet with internal stakeholders on a regular basis;
Work collaboratively and willingly in a small team that is all hands-on deck.

Solid computer skills including, Microsoft Word and Excel.
