We are working with one of Australia's largest chemical processors who are experiencing a period of growth within WA's resource sectors. An immediate requirement has arisen for a Project Manager to join a collaborative team environment based in Kwinana.
Assist the commercial and engineering teams progress the FEED (front end engineering design). Specifically, the project manager will maintain the project schedule, monitor risks and issues, track and forecast study costs, and the progress of the overall project.
Work is based in Kwinana for a minimum of 4 days per week, with 1 day from home acceptable. Occasional work may be required outside normal business hours to meet operational requirements.
Actively manage and project outputs/deliverables.
Manage schedule, budget and resources for the project.
Manage key stakeholders including status reporting.
Escalate issues and risk as appropriate to General Manager Ammonia/AN.
Maintain the project plans and associated artefacts (risk and issue register, pipeline of work, budget tracking, resource model).
Ensure forward planning of milestones and related activities to ensure timely delivery of the overall project plan.
Communicate project status to the Steering Committee, including consolidation and analysis of the project data (Scope, budget, Issues, Risks etc).
Assist in identifying any corrective action, where required.
Tertiary qualification or experience in similar roles.
Qualification in a recognised program/project management methodology (PMP, Prince2, MSP).
Previous experience in expansion projects
5-10 years' experience in project management.
Experience in managing vendor relationships.
Exposure to an engineering/heavy industry environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational, planning and decision making skills.
Self-motivated with attention to detail.
