About the Role
This rewarding leadership role will manage the ABC Classic and ABC Jazz networks, content and staff across platforms. You will be charged with leading and motivating a highly creative team of people all over Australia. You will work with the best classical and jazz music minds in the country, as the peak broadcaster for classical and jazz music in Australia.
The role with involve:
Leading ABC Classic & ABC Jazz program teams including program planning, airchecks and editorial guidance to ensure a shared understanding and commitment to ABC objectives.
Providing a high level of leadership in editorial decision making and build ABC Classic & ABC Jazz audience across all platforms
Leading and managing ABC Classic & ABC Jazz radio, digital and specialist teams to deliver outstanding and original content for Australian audiences.
Leading the team to deliver events such as the Classic 100, various music history campaigns and live music recordings of some of Australia’s finest orchestras and artists
Classical and Jazz music knowledge and industry experience, including an understanding of key Australian musical organisations
Strong creative leadership to influence and inspire a creative team in making diverse programs for a classical music audience.
Proven editorial skills and judgement, including a high level understanding of the Australian classical music community and modern copyright and intellectual property issues
Proven ability to plan and effectively manage projects and stakeholders utilising a variety of project management approaches
