PG Accountants is an established public practice and is now looking for a talented candidate as a Senior Accountant to join our friendly team.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

 

  • Analyse organisations income and expenditures;
  • Arrange financial investigations to evaluate and provide advices and suggestions regarding financial risks, purchase and sale of business, acquisitions and mergers, etc.;
  • Conduct financial analysis, reconcile and prepare financial statements;
  • Contact with governments, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions such as ATO, ASIC, banks, and brokers, etc. on client matters;
  • Prepare business activity statements and tax returns for clients including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals;
  • Prepare financial reports in accordance with relavant requirements, standards, and legislations with assurance of accuracy;
  • Provide professional advices and suggestions regarding business consulting and tax planning in terms of business structure, plans, and operations;
  • Recommend and advise on the selection and application of accounting system to the client as well as maintain and support the use of the accounting system;
  • Support the clients on budgeting and establishing accounting policies and procedures.

 

 

The Applicant Must Have the Following Skills and Experience

 

Qualifications

 

At least Bachelors degree in Accounting or relevant field.

 

Experience

 

At least one year relevant working experience.

 

Essential skills

  • Solid background and advanced knowledge and skills in Accounting or relevant field;
  • Strong Excel skills and proven practical experience with cloud-based accounting software (MYOB and Xero);
  • Broad understanding of Accounting regulations and standards;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and articulation;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationship with clients;
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
