Marketing and Administration Officer

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Marketing and Administration Officer to be a part of our friendly team and support day to day business operations. We are an accommodation provider centrally located in Griffith, ACT and pride ourselves on providing guests with quality budget friendly accommodation. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm). Very occasional weekend work.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Manage overall marketing. Plan and execute marketing campaigns, work on brand building.
  2. Manage and create content for social media (post scheduling and ad campaigns).
  3. Monitor and update Google AdWords.
  4. Monitor and update website (WordPress)
  5. Write blogs for website.
  6. Write email newsletter campaigns.
  7. Address inquiries, feedback and handle complaints raised by guests.
  8. Take bookings over the phone and via email.
  9. Manage housekeeping schedule.
  10. Monitor and order stock, cleaning supplies and office essentials for office, housekeepers and vending machine.
  11. Provide insight and ideas into improving the business and increasing revenue.

About you:

  1. Full Australian working rights is essential.
  2. Previous experience in hotel environment not required but beneficial.
  3. Marketing experience or marketing degree (or equivalent).
  4. Content and copy writing skills.
  5. Familiar with WordPress, MailChimp, Google AdWords and social media scheduling.
  6. Customer service skills (phone manner and email responses).
  7. Be able to work autonomously.
  8. Good time management and organisational skills
