Information Support Officer Queensland Teachers Assist Desk (QTAD)

Established in 1889, the Queensland Teachers Union is the registered industrial organisation (or union) representing state teachers and principals throughout Queensland. The Union is now the professional and industrial voice of more than 48,000 teachers, principals and TAFE educators in Queensland state primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, TAFE institutes and other educational facilities.
As a member of the QTAD team, you will contribute to the QTUs success by providing timely and accurate delivery of information and advice to QTU members by phone and email.
The position is temporary from 10 May 2021 until 12 March 2022, with a possibility of further extension to permanency.
To be successful in this role you will be required to possess the following essential criteria:
Demonstrable client service expertise, preferably in a similar member services environment.
Demonstrable expertise with member and other related informational databases.
A sound level in the Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn new systems.
A high level of verbal and written communication at all levels, both internally and externally.
Attention to detail.
The capacity to work effectively in a team and provide back up to other team members as required.
Ability to adapt positively to changing work practices and needs.
Making timely decisions, rendering judgement, taking action when appropriate and committing to a side or position.
