Account Manager - Lighting & Electrical Wholesale

With about 90 per cent of the product range having been developed by EGLO, we ensure the greatest possible independence when introducing new product solutions and we are extremely competitive due to the high-quality levels of our owned manufacturing plants in Hungary, China and India.

Our Australian subsidiary based in Brisbane, Richlands is currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative based in Melbourne.  The position is full-time permanent with working hours generally 8am5pm M-F, however due to the nature of the role, some flexibility will be required. Some travel is also required within this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet budgeted sales figures as allocated by EGLO Lighting Australia Pty Ltd
  • Management, retention and growth of accounts 
  • Seek/follow up leads for new accounts
  • Show samples of and promote new product ranges
  • Merchandising/maintaining instore displays where required
  • Liaising with customers taking orders, responding to customer queries/issues
  • Analysis of faulty products/credit claims and sending through of claims to customer service for processing
  • Contribute and provide effective feedback to National Sales Manager on competitor activity, sales opportunities and increase sales of all products
  • Manage a regular call cycle
  • Input into product development

Qualifications Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales and/or account management experience
  • Experience within the lighting or electrical wholesale industry (Desired but not essential)
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of motivation, energy and a drive to achieve results
  • Basic level of computer skills
  • Effective sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Current open drivers license
