About the role
South West Healthcare's (SWH) Supply and Logistics department is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join the team in a permanent full time position.
The Procurement Officer is responsible for supporting a regional procurement transformation as part of Victoria's Supply Chain Reform strategy. The Procurement Officer will use category management principals to ensure uninterrupted supply of optimal goods and services at best value. By bringing together appropriate resources, skills, technology and ideas this position will deliver benefits to the region.
What you bring
The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge and proven experience in commercial procurement practices including category management and strategic sourcing. Analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to identify issues and develop solutions is critical to the success of this role as well as high quality written and verbal communication skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement and Contracting or Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be highly regarded. Prior public health sector experience is highly desirable.
