Position: Permanent part-time position (1 day a fortnight Wednesday).

Remuneration: Commensurate with skills and experience.

 

About the Business:

Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics is a small private practice conveniently located just off the M1 in Mudgeeraba. We are specialists in prosthetic limbs and orthopaedic bracing providing a personalised service that shows in the satisfaction of our staff and clients.

We work with a diverse range of people, focus on quality of care and have a passion for helping every individual achieve their goals and live their best life. In our purpose built facility we work with clients, manufacture prostheses and orthoses, fit, adjust and provide ongoing maintenance and support. 

 

The Position:

We are looking at expanding our team by engaging a part time Bookkeeper for one day a fortnight. You will be responsible for everyday bookkeeping support to our quickly growing business.

Duties of the position:

  • Reconciling Supplier Statements.
  • Operating bookkeeping systems and transitioning from QuickBooks to Xero computer software.
  • Quarterly BAS preparation including uploading receipts into Xero for external Accountants review and lodgement.
  • Payroll including preparing fortnightly payroll for 5 staff.
  • Processing payslips, group certificates and employee leave in Xero.
  • Superannuation and PAYG lodgement (lodged & paid monthly).
  • Saving remittances from email to office 365 SharePoint.
  • Scanning paper receipts to office 365 SharePoint and renaming.
  • Follow up on invoicing outstanding debtor payments.
  • Liaising with External Accountants.
  • Assisting with other ad hoc administration duties as required.

 

Necessary skills and experience:

  • Xero experience is essential.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow processes to a high standard.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • High standard of computer literacy skills, including a demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Office 365).
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
