We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Marketing Manager. The purpose of the role is to execute agreed tactical and operational plans for new product development and marketing. This position will be responsible for project managing the marketing, promotion and launch of new products globally across all marketing channels. This is an exciting, diverse and hands on role that covers multi channels in retail, online, TV shopping, and consumer shows and B2B exhibitions. For the right candidate this position offers the opportunity to directly impact the growth of the company by building brand awareness and effectively positioning new products to drive sales.
Develop and execute effective product marketing strategies (pricing, promotion, positioning, advertising, and launch) based on operational plans for the business.
Develop, manage, and execute new product content and messaging across social media, print magazine, POS material, brochures, blog posts etc.
Develop appropriate sales tools such as instore screens and signage etc.
Follow and analyse market trends identify and understand appropriate sales channels and cross-promotion opportunities.
Effectively position new products. Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with sales teams and executing self-lead research.
Support local sales team and distributor only countries in bringing new products to global markets.
Establish relationships and follow up with retail network to promote the story of the brand for existing and new products.
Form a close relationship with the Product Development team to relay market demand, determine new product priorities and project management new product manufacture.
In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have the following skills and experience
Minimum 5 years experience in a retail product marketing role.
Robust project management and execution skills.
Knowledge or experience in hardware/garden products would be desirable.
Global experience across Europe, USA or both would be highly valued.
Proven track record in sales.
Experience in or knowledge of photo/video shoots.
Experience in or knowledge of merchandising and product display.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish and maintain relationships and work with people across all levels.
Willingness to hit the ground running.
