KeyMoves is partnering with a progressive business with over 20 years' experience in working with listed companies. This business has been involved in countless capital raisings, share purchase plans, rights issues and initial public offerings across a variety of industries, from technology to mining and exploration. Your new firm will provide you with ongoing training and support to service ASX listed companies to the highest possible level.

 

This firm has a fast paced and dynamic working environment with a strong team culture. As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to complete the responsibilities set out below with assistance from the Manager in your team.

 

 

Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to run meetings, provide staff training and add value to team culture.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Financial and Management Accounting
  • Running and facilitating meetings with a team of accountants
  • Client engagement and liaising with respect to accounting matters
  • Prepare Notices in accordance with ASX and ASIC lodgement requirements, as well as NASDAQ requirements
  • Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports and undertaking audits
  • Review financial statements and reports produced by Accountants and Bookkeepers and provide assistance and guidance as appropriate
  • Preparation of Half Year Financial Reports and Annual Financial Reports for presentation to management and relevant governing and statutory bodies
  • Forecasting, budgeting and cashflow reporting
  • Providing financial advice on business structures, plans and operations
  • Preparation and review FBT returns and ESS statements
  • Ad hoc accounting projects, including reviewing and maintaining internal accounting systems and policies as well as internal control systems
  • CFO/Finance Manager representation externally
  • Supervision / Mentoring / Collaboration with the accounting team
  • Innovation and continuous improvement
  • Attending board and committee meetings
     

Profile
Suitable candidates for this role should ideally have the following attributes and experiences:
 

  • AQF bachelor degree or higher qualification
  • Completed your CA ANZ or CPA Australia accreditation
  • 4+ years professional practice experience within a top tier Accounting Firm
  • External Auditor experience
  • Audit Committee experience
  • Experience in managing a client portfolio
  • Exposure to local and international organisations
  • Exposure to different stock exchanges (specifically in ASX and NASDAQ)
  • Exposure and experience across Small Cap ASX listed companies, (Fintech, Biotech Clean Tech & Resource Sectors highly desirable) and IPO organisations
  • US GAAP Accreditation
  • IFRS Accreditation
  • Exposed to PCAOB and SOX environment
  • Exposure to company secretarial matters
