Wagstaff Piling is a privately owned, Australian foundation engineering company operating throughout Australia and New Zealand. We specialise in the design and construction of piles, other foundation systems such as diaphragm walls, and ground improvement.

As a junior Testing Engineer, you will be required to assist more senior experienced Pile Testers in the collection and capture of data and assist them in verifying the geotechnical capacity and structural integrity of piles installed thereby ensuring that Wagstaff Piling efficiently and safely installs foundations that are technically sound.
The role will involve a mixture of site work (requiring travel to site) and office work where you will be interacting with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, engineers, field personnel, third party consultants and clients.
Further, you will be equipped with and trained in the use of innovative Pile Testing technology and taught how to employ a range of analytical techniques to verify pile integrity and capacity.
As this is a junior role, you will be provided with on-going comprehensive training from some of Australias most experienced Pile Testing professionals. You will get exposed to a wide range of challenging projects across Australia and New Zealand. As such, there is an expectation that the successful applicant will be prepared to travel to region sites, interstate and overseas as required.
To be successful in the role you must possess and/or display the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- 1-3 years of professional experience as a qualified Engineer
- Passionate about the more technical elements of Engineering
- High level of Engineering mathematics skills
- Committed work ethic
- Effective communication skills
- Thirst for knowledge
- Willingness travel
- Interest in professional development
- Fluency in English
