This is a fantastic opportunity for an industry specialist to lead and manage their global activities in the Mining Industry across their current and future client portfolio. With a solid and substantial background in logistics, procurement strategy and process implementation, their ideal person will thrive in both a demanding yet rewarding environment in equal measure
Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and report on all global key account clients activities relating to your target industry – mining. This includes being responsible for strategic sales – develop, maintain and growth with all mining clients as well as support the existing network.
Key functions will include:
Conduct market research and stay up to date with mining industry information and trends.
Formulating strategies and establishing plans to identify and gain profitable new business opportunities.
Developing a portfolio to produce reports using companies CRM system.
Supporting joint sales activities with local business units
Strategic account management / Securing global agreements
Prequalifying for EOI / tenders
Constructing and presenting client proposals and contract negotiations.
Leading and assisting in tender clarification and client negotiations
Interface with the operations team to implement the awarded work efficiently.
Project and monitor account performance and generate revenue reports for management review.
Develop innovative solution for challenging transport / logistics enquiries.
Work closely with regional and global counterpart to secure international contract from target customers.
Reporting and documenting on sales activities and other analysis as required.
Ideally you will be an experienced logistics executive with extensive experience of working in the mining industry or with mining clients, covering capital project development with Mining Houses and EPC’s along with success in working down the supply chain with OEM’s and procurement. You will ideally have an impressive international (APAC) network and be able to demonstrate strategic leadership driven by success in securing new contracts and ability to generate opportunities across varying stakeholder levels.
