An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Australian Ecosystems (AE). We work with communities, government, and industry to restore biodiversity and improve the sustainability and liveability of our communities. We seek a permanent full-time Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager to work closely with senior management to maintain a safe work, quality and consideration of the environment culture at Australian Ecosystems. The HSEQ Manager will report to the Administration Manager/ Financial Controller, Construction Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, and the Director.

 

As an HSEQ Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  1. Ensure certification to AS/NZS4801, ISO14001 and ISO9001 is maintained at a high standard
  2. Endure all staff have been HSE inducted and training is provided in safety-related practices during the onboarding process
  3. Ensure injury management and rehabilitation systems are in place and individual cases are proactively managed
  4. Investigate incidents and injuries as per the incidents and investigation procedure and complete all work cover claims, including liaising with external insurance and employees for returning to work. 
  5. Measuring and reporting company performance in the objectives and targets to senior management and Director
  6. Complete and respond to any OHS, Quality & Environment questionnaires or queries from clients or employees, including tender documentation

 

Important qualities for successful execution of the position include

 

  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven success in leading teams to achieve results;
  • Proven experience in writing policies and procedures;
  • Extensive knowledge of Victorian legislation
  • Experience working with management systems in particular AS/NZS4801,
  • ISO14001 and ISO9001;
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems

Qualifications

  • BSB51307 - Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
