We are seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Project Manager (Horticulturist) to join our Usher Group Grounds Maintenance Team based at our Arundel Head Office in the Gold Coast.
We are looking for somebody with previous Project Management experience within the grounds maintenance arena for an immediate start. This is a new role and would focus on the following:
To ensure high-quality performance is delivered.
To adhere to contract scope and schedule and ensure target times are achieved.
To supervise other team members / sub-contractors and manage to schedule efficiently.
To assist with the managing of any sub-contractors used
Provide regular updates/reports to management staff.
To identify specific needs for customers and ensure the service is being delivered.
Completion of administration work and reporting of any issues or problems.
To adhere to the WHS and Environmental working requirements.
Lead optimal operational efficiency through effective planning and management of employees / sub-contractors.
Oversee subcontractors and or employees within the Grounds Division.
Ensure that there is consistent, proactive planning making sure of schedules and ad-hoc works.
Ensure that KPIs and complete final sign-off ahead of client invoicing.
Ensure the safe and secure operation of all equipment and that each sub-contractor / employee are using the correct machinery.

Ideally, we are seeking someone from the grounds maintenance trade that has experience in commercial grounds maintenance and also has a reliable trade vehicle. This role will also require the Project Manager to be on the tools to undertake multiple sites, to begin with as well as overseeing grounds maintenance sub-contractors with a possible advancement of being off the tools as the business division grows.
Remuneration will be based on experience and in the form of a salary package in the range of $70,000- $75,000 with phone and vehicle allowance with regular reviews in place.
