Showroom Sales Person

About the Role:
A long standing family run import business is seeking an experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join their team in Dandenong. The position will start on a part time basis with a view for a full-time position. 
The position is a mixture of sales and warehouse duties. You will be working in the showroom assisting customers and providing product knowledge. Working in the warehouse picking and packing orders. unloading containers and general warehouse duties. On occasions you will be required to do local customer deliveries.  
You will be working in a close knit team , a business that prides itself on its culture built up over a number of years and you have a desire to working towards achieving budgets and sales targets. 
In return will will receive a very competitive salary with additional bonus structure to share with your team for achieving targets. Ideally you have experience with product selling and outlining the benefits to your customers face to face. Full product training will be provided all you need is a passion for retail and sales and the number one focus Customer service. 
You will be required to work 3 x 8 hour days during the week and 6 hours every Saturday.
To be successful for this role you must possess the following attributes: 

  • Experience with MYOB an advantage not essential 
  • Previous Customer service and sales experience in a retail or showroom environment preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Must be a team player 
  • Easy going personality    
  • Proactive and self starter 
  • Previous warehouse or Storeroom experience 
  • Current Forklift Licence an advantage not essential 
  • Most of all 100% customer focused  
  • A team player 
  • Keen and reliable 
  • Proactive and motivated 

 Your day will consist of: 

  • Making sure that the showroom looks presentable 
  • Greeting customers as they enter the showroom  
  • Demonstrate how to use products and features  
  • Meeting daily sales targets 
  • Placing orders and taking payment
