About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer who will play an important role in our business by providing accounts support and some general administration. We are a rapidly growing major national distributor of electronic security products and systems based in Mt Waverley

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:   

  • Entering creditor invoices into the system
  • Petty cash and credit card reconciliations
  • ensuring purchase order and creditor invoices are allocated correctly to the general ledger accounts system
  • ensure accounts payable records are clear, filed correctly and provide an accurate audit trail 
  • Invoicing customers and sending out monthly statements
  • Debtor collections of outstanding invoices
  • Key liaison between branches and Head Office 
  • Payroll Support
  • Preparation of IAS, BAS & and Super lodgement
  • Bank Reconciliation 
  • Providing ad hoc administration support to the Finance Manager when required

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes: 

  • previous experience in an accounts administration
  • 2 years minimum experience
  • drive and initiative 
  • exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • ability to work within an ever changing environment and take on any given task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • well organised with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • good attention to detail
