Senior Manager of Relationships and Business Development
An exciting full time and ongoing opportunity exists for a Senior Manager of Relationships and Business Development; within our Shared Service Provider (SSP) group in the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). SSP is part of the Victorian Government's commitment to a whole of government approach to the provision of shared corporate services.
DTF provides economic, financial and resource management advice to help the Victorian Government deliver its policies. We strive for excellence in financial and economic management to improve the lives of all Victorians.
About the role
We require an ongoing VPS 6 Senior Manager of Relationships and Business Development. The key accountabilities are:
Lead an end-to-end, fully integrated SSP's stakeholder relationship management and business development function
Develop and implement whole of SSP and program level engagement and relationship strategies, policies and procedures
Coordinate and be the custodian of SSP stakeholder information, ensuring it is effectively captured, maintained and shared
Manage a small team, motivating them to achieve sustained high performance and customer focus
Develop a strong network of relationships that add value to SSP delivery and influence, and identify new clients and business opportunities
Contribute to effective governance and management
Proactively assess and identify improvements and innovations for SSP operations and delivery
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated expertise and experience in developing relationship, communication and engagement strategies
Experience in strategically building and maintaining effective relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders in a complex and dynamic environment
Evidence of exceptional judgement, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with ability to confidently deal with complex and challenging stakeholder situations to achieve constructive outcomes
High level written and verbal communication skills
Ability to apply highly developed critical thinking and analytic skills
Solutions and delivery focused leader, with high level organisational and planning skills
Effective leadership and people management capabilities
