Maintenance Supervisor

Turosi Pty Ltd is a privately owned Company with facilities in Victoria, Queensland and NSW, providing a full range of raw and cooked food solutions across a range of proteins to the retail and food service sectors. 

An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor to help manage the day-to-day operation at our Broadmeadows manufacturing site, Victoria. Reporting to the Engineering  Manager. 

The successful applicant will excel in implementing management direction, have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and be passionate about improving business profitability. 

Some of the key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • To maintain and control a preventative and emergency maintenance program for all plant services and buildings. 
  • Develop and implement failure modes effects analysis for all plant and equipment.
  • Coordinate and implement Fault finding, diagnosing, isolate, shut down, repairs and modifications. 
  • Read and interpret technical information and specifications from equipment manuals and manufacturer documentation. 
  • To supervise and accept the responsibility of the maintenance staff including coordination of shift, overtime and leave rosters. 
  • Supervise external contractors, ensuring that safety rules and other company rules are adhered to. 
  • Address issues and grievance, Industrial relations in consultation with HR. 
  • Adherence and compliance to company OHS, food hygiene, environmental and HR policies and procedures. 
  • To monitor the process equipment efficiency and maintain it to a high standard of performance and condition. 
  • To liaise with other departments to optimize productivity in a cooperative manner. 
  • Coordinate weekend maintenance programs in directing and working with such teams. 
  • Training, coaching and development of personnel to ensure adequate support staff within department. 
  • Ensure high level of safety, be active in site based safety initiatives and provide leadership in achieving nit significant injuries within the maintenance team. 
  • Involvement in the installation and commission of new plant and equipment. 
  • To monitor and ensure spare parts stock associated with the store is maintained to within acceptable levels and to supervise the security of the facility and equipment. 
  • Ensure that all engineering works undertaken are compliant with statutory codes and internal standards. 
  • Commitment to and participation in continuous improvement activities. 
  • To carry out maintenance works within your certification to company equipment and facilities as required by management. 

Occupational Health and Safety

  • Demonstrate awareness of OH&S Policies and procedures and ensure all actions are conducted safely and with OH&S guidelines. 
  • Perform all job tasks in accordance with defined procedures and guidelines to ensure safety of fellow employees. 
  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures. 
  • Be Familiar with safety, first aid and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely according to trained instructions. 

Ensure that all incidents are recorded, communicated and investigated.
