Sales and Admin Support Assistant 

Aquaflo Irrigation is a family-run business, specialising in irrigation, water tanks and pumps- servicing both the residential and commercial sectors in ACT and South-East NSW.

We are looking for a full-time Sales and Admin Support Assistant to join our team and assist with a variety of business operations. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of complex administrative support services and customer sales.

The suitable applicant will be required to interact directly with customers, thus outstanding customer service and communication is essential. This is a 612-month maternity leave position with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. 

 Role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Process orders and retail sales in person and over the phone.
  • Deploy and schedule incoming work orders to job management system.
  • Liaison with sales representatives and trade account holders.
  • Maintaining inventory for shop and office (office stationery, kitchen, and bathroom supplies).
  • Maintaining store and office tidiness.
  • Providing general administrative support such as: booking travel arrangements, start-finish process of tank sales, photocopying, scanning, binding, filing, responding to incoming emails and calls.
  • Finding ways to improve administrative processes.
  • Assist in shop when staff absent.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/ experience/ qualities:

  • Computer Literacy
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive and mature attitude.
  • Being a hands-on professional who has a passion to learn new skills.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Experience in MS Office.
  • Xero or MYOB experience preferred but not essential.
  • Confident and enthusiastic personality.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and individually.
  • Well presented.
  • Able to keep up with our fast-paced and growing environment- capable of multi-tasking and prioritising workload.
  • Must be an Australian Permanent Resident
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence with regular access to a vehicle
  • Previous sales or office administration experience preferred.
  • Organisation and attention to detail are a Must.
  • Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
