Administration Assistant

Tongue & Groove Carpentry is a well established business based in Bathurst, NSW. Due to a large amount of upcoming projects we are looking recruit an experience full time Office Administrator to join our team. 

Your bubbly personality, strong communication, administration, and organisational skills will provide the much-needed support and assistance to our busy team. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Registering and overseeing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation.
  • Preparing relevant documentation including assisting with the formatting/typing of correspondence, submissions and presentations
  • Raising purchase orders for relevant goods
  • Being a point of contact with respect to general/building queries and issues
  • Maintaining an effective filing/archiving system
  • Updating document/drawing registers and obtaining relevant approval for issue to projects
  • Ensuring appropriate personnel (including project personnel and subcontractors) are issued with up-to-date documentation
  • Assisting in invoice preparation, verification and despatch to clients
  • Assisting with ordering of materials
  • Data entry
  • Informing trades and clients of project details such as start dates.
  • General office-related tasks and administration

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: 

  • Experience within the Construction industry preferred, but not essential
  • Proven administration experience performing similar duties to those above
  • Experience with Xero or another accounting software
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Intermediate  knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
