Project Engineer

Based at the production plant in Harvey WA, the Project Engineer will work report to the Engineering Manager and manage a range of projects for Harvey Beef and the wider Harvest Road Group.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside & supporting our stakeholders on executing current projects.
  • Ensure operations are in accordance with the relevant OH&S, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
  • You will take a hands-on approach with all our projects and will be expected to manage a team to effectively deliver solutions.
  • Facilitate & manage current and new projects including preparation of documents & reports.
  • Undertake safety assessments and complete necessary supporting reporting.
  • Provide input of technical design across all industries.
  • Assist in the tendering process of projects including site inspections, work procedures & documentation.
  • Provide the stakeholders with scheduled forecast & job status reports.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement projects within the business and carry out actions required.
  • Implementation of process improvement business strategy.
  • Accurate project costing, resourcing and forecasting.
  • Completion of projects in a safe manner, and within budget approvals.
  • Management of capital expenditure to agreed requirements.
  • Ensure all work activities are undertaken in a safe manner using appropriate risk management techniques.
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance to site safety initiatives.
  • Ensure the site complies with all Australian standards and other relevant legislation with regards to engineered solutions.
  • Set up new assets in MEX (CMMS)

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelors in engineering (Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical).  Other Engineering disciplines may be considered.
  • 5 years experience in FMCG Industry will be highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Project as a minimum).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A collaborative and open-minded approach to finding innovative solutions.
