Octeros Manufacturing is one of Australias largest Kitchen manufacturers with a vision to be the best and most efficient in the industry. We have a new premises in Bells Creek producing in excess of 1000 cabinets on a daily basis. We understand that automation starts in the office and extends right through the procurement, manufacture and assembly of components. Our facility leads the industry in the use of automated systems and equipment, including the best European CNC machinery and robotic solutions.  Our onsite engineering team manages CAD, IT Infrastructure, Fanuc Robotics, Wonderware AVEVA MES, Rockwell PLC and Wonderware System Platform Scada development, and is passionate about continually improving these systems. 

As lead of the Controls team you will be responsible for supporting the supporting the daily operations and for executing ongoing improvement projects. You will be exposed to all systems and equipment within the factory, providing both a challenging and diverse experience.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and developing ongoing automation requirements
  • Assist with the assessment of systems designed and installed by equipment suppliers
  • Assistance with maintenance and improvement of facility and equipment
  • Providing mentorship, direction and training to graduate engineers


The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering or related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years experience in an engineering role with automated equipment
  • Experience in fully automated and or high speed production environment
  • PLC programming and SCADA skills
  • Highly motivated team orientated individual
  • Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

It would be desirable if the candidate has:

  • Robotics experience
  • Rockwell experience
  • Wonderware Systems Platform experience
  • Database (MSSQL) experience
