Administration Assistant* Social Health and Wellbeing

A new opportunity has opened for an Administration Assistant* within the Social Health and Wellbeing services at IWC. This position is up to full-time hours (76 per fortnight) and will work closely with the Social Health Wellbeing Manager to provide general administrative support across multiple community-based programs and services.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing client enquiries at counter and over phone directing as appropriate.
  • Administrative support at the direction of the Social Health and Wellbeing Manager: 
    • Managing of patient referrals
    • Arranging and maintaining appointments
    • Calendar management 
    • Maintaining waiting lists and spreadsheets
  • Assisting with health brokerage arrangements.
  • Preparing letters and correspondence.
  • Data Entry into appropriate information systems. 
  • Organising Room and Vehicle Bookings
  • Preparing mail correspondence for collection and delivery.  
  • Liaising with staff, clients, medical professionals, and other key stakeholders. 
  • Booking transport for clients
  • General housekeeping such as tidying and cleaning, as necessary.
  • General Office duties including but not limited to: scanning, filing, preparation of information packs and copying. 
  • Providing support and completing project related functions

  • Ability to compose correspondence professionally. 
  • High level of confidentiality.

Key Requirements:      

Working with Children Blue Card: No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to have a valid blue card before they start work.

Employment is subject to a Federal Police Check*

Current Drivers Licence

The salary for this position is under Award Reference: Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services Award (Administrative Stream). An indicative range is from Level 1.1 to 3.4 "Modern Awards Federal 2010", dependent on qualifications and experience.
