This position is ideally suited for a retiree or someone looking to expand further his or her work experience in the field of aircraft quality assurance systems and safety management systems. After the initial learning period, we expect the role to settle down to about 6 to10 hours of work per month, mostly at your convenience.
Who we are
We are a CASR Part 145 AMO located in Tullamarine. We have been providing aeronautical equipment and furnishing repair services to civil aircraft for over two decades.
We are looking for the right person to fill the position of Quality & Safety Manager to take over from the current Q&SM who is retiring. The right person will have comprehensive knowledge of Part 145 of CASR and Part 145 MOS with at least 2 years experience in quality management system activities. A formal qualification in quality management will be an advantage. We think a person with LAME background, who is capable of working unsupervised, has relevant experience in quality assurance activities with sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices, will be able to fill this role.
The responsibilities of the Q&SM includes:
Has a direct line of corporate accountability to the accountable manager;
monitoring and maintain the AMOs quality system as required
Carry out audit tasks as required and follow-up audit findings for resolution
Maintain approved documents and manuals.
Having a sound understanding of safety management system (SMS) principles.
Ensuring that processes needed for the SMS are implemented and maintained.
