Transport Compliance Manager

We are a SME based in South Western Sydney that transports petroleum products across NSW, QLD and Victoria.

A vacancy currently exists at our NSW depot for an experienced Transport Compliance Manager. This position will play a critical role in the effective management of our compliance obligations across the transport fleet.


  • Maintenance of existing procedural documentation systems,
  • Writing and issuing procedural documents,
  • Reviewing daily diary log book entries and issuing NCRs for compliance breaches,
  • Reviewing daily pre-start checks and following up maintenance staff for resolutions of reported faults,
  • Monthly reporting to senior management all statutory compliance issues,
  • Assist in the obtainment of HML status for the transport fleet,
  • Develop and maintain safe load plans for Prime mover and trailer configurations using our in-house system,
  • Ensuring all transport operations comply with Company & Supplier terminal WHS Policies.
  • Accident and Incident investigations and documentation thereof,
  • Daily speed log reviews,
  • Conduct monthly toolbox safety talks with the operations and driving teams,
  • Ensure HVIS compliance with the RMS is conducted on schedule,
  • Review regulatory maintenance schedules are being adhered to,
  • Ensure vehicles are inducted at various supply terminals in NSW, Qld and Victoria,
  • Liaise with Supplier terminal staff,
  • Conduct driving assessments as required for new staff members,
  • Ensure all operations comply with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue and Mass Management Legislation
  • Ensure all reporting functions are completed each day and on time
  • Maintain the daily / weekly planning schedule.

 In this role you will need to:

Previous experience in coordinating local transport services in the petroleum transport industry or similar role will be highly regarded
