The Role

This is a permanent role reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the mine by performing the day to day survey operations of the mine, including;

  • Maintaining and adhering to all Survey procedures
  • Perform survey functions for the underground operation
  • Establishment & maintenance of underground / surface survey control
  • Maintain/update daily reports and maintain the integrity of survey digital records
  • Set out & pickup of all development headings
  • Surveying of all vertical development (vent rises and escape ways)
  • Production ring mark-ups, pad set-outs & cavity monitoring (CMS)
  • Prism monitoring and drill hole mark-ups and pick-ups
  • Maintain all survey equipment (cleaning, calibrating, etc)
  • Accurate/timely provision of EOM physical surveys and reporting
  • Surface set outs and pickups using GPS


  • WA grade 2 surveyor's certificate (desirable)
  • Bachelors degree or Advanced diploma in Mine Surveying
  • Significant surveying experience gained in underground mining
  • A proficient user of mining software (Deswik experience would be highly regarded)
  • A good written and verbal communicator
  • Hold a WA "C" class manual driving licence
  • Holder of National Police Clearance
