The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong finance executive to oversee the group reporting for a top ASX with a Melbourne head office. The Challenge

Leading the group’s end-to-end financial reporting process, you will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

Specifically your responsibilities will include: 

  • Communicating and influencing key stakeholders across the executive team - this will be critical to your success
  • Ongoing development, support and management of a team of 7+ high performers - this will be also critical to your success
  • Oversight of the monthly consolidation process and month end close, including ensuring the integrity of Group financial results
  • Lead the delivery of consolidated reporting to the Board, including ongoing evolution of reporting in line with the expansion of the Group
  • Responsibility for the delivery and accuracy of the Group annual report and half year report
  • Providing support and guidance to the group on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications including support for M&A activities
  • Providing input and take ownership of various projects, including a number of current and future M&A activities
  • Responsible for development and enhancement of consolidation and financial reporting tools

The Expertise

To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:

  • Manager or Director level experience at EY, KPMG, Deloitte or PwC
  • Group accounting experience in an ASX top 200 company
  • Stakeholder management experience at the CFO / CEO / Audit & Risk Committee level
  • Exposure to global business matters and complex accounting matters
  • A well developed values based approach to communication, management and leadership
