We are a Canberra based biotech startup looking for an energetic and creative New Product Development Engineer to join our Technology team.
Our company designs and builds modular robotic infrastructure that uses insects to manage food waste. With support from high profile impact investors we are growing our business to deliver our innovative waste systems to markets on a global scale.
You will contribute to the design and development of Goterras robotic modular insect farms from prototyping through to commercialisation, including design, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning, and servicing.
This is a diverse and exciting role suitable for an early career engineer looking for an opportunity to contribute and grow their professional and technical skills developing innovative technology products from within a dynamic start up environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Design, development and manufacture of robotic / automated machinery
Specification and testing of new products and components
Working with an interdisciplinary team to develop and iterate product design
Define and develop manufacturing processes
Manage the development of documentation for existing and new products
Passionate about Goterras mission

Strong on detail and able to manage multiple moving parts
You will have:
5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of CAD programs and documentation for design and manufacturing
Practical mechanical problem solving skills
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Design, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Process Engineering)
Worked in a manufacturing environment.
You may have
Understanding of electrical control systems including PLCs
Confidence with hands on mechanical tasks
