Workshop Technician

A.D Engineering International is looking for an awesome workshop technician.

A.D. Engineering International is Australias leading manufacturer of high quality electronic equipment for the road traffic / ITS industry. Over the last 39 years we have specialised in the design, manufacture and supply of Electronic Signs, Signals, and Displays to provide information, traffic control and road safety.

ADE Engineering  has been part of the Jason Signmakers Group since 2020. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation, commissioning tasks and fault diagnosis.
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge and application of company policies, specifically WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) including Main Roads WHS guidelines when working on public roads, adhering to site-specific requirements.
  • Responsible for completing external inductions as required, seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor for daily task allocation.
  • Check proper function of workshop tools and equipment prior to using and report any issues to Workshop Supervisor.
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and the workshop kept free of hazards.
  • Ensure the correct tools, equipment and correct PPE are used to carry out required tasks.
  • Report all issues, inconsistencies, errors and purchasing requirements to the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Ensure goods for dispatch are packaged appropriately for the transport required.
  • Participate in risk assessments associated with work activities, rectify and report hazards to the Workshop Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Participate in company health, safety, environment and quality initiatives as required.

Our Wish List But Not Essential:

  • White Card for working safely in the Construction industry
  • Licence to Perform High Risk Work LF (forklift) & WP (elevated work platforms)
  • Relevant tertiary education and/or electrical trade licence
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel interstate occasionally
  • Installation experience

Essential:

  • Hold a valid WA endorsed "C" class drivers licence 
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Understand all principles of electronics and typical fault diagnosis
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to effectively follow instructions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all facets of electro-mechanical and final assembly techniques, including all common hand tools, wire looms and soldering.
