About this Role
An outstanding and rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Research and Insights Manager to join our marketing (Attraction) team in Canberra HQ on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Strategy and Intelligence Manager this role is responsible for managing a comprehensive program of market research to generate valuable insights and help DFR meet recruitment targets for the ADF. This includes uncovering market insights around the ADFs evolving target audiences, develop and maintain ongoing campaign evaluation research and being a key contributor to future marketing strategies and brand positioning.
The role covers several distinct areas, primarily focused on the management of a sophisticated and substantial program of exploratory research, advertising concept testing and campaign evaluation research and analysis, leveraging past research and reports in market and distilling these into insights for sharing with a wide range of stakeholders across Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) and the ADF.
In order to be successful in this role you must be an excellent communicator and have a collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders, you will be confident to present in front of groups and at a senior level. Your ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high quality contributions against key milestones will set you up for success in this role.
Experience in market research, marketing and communication, advertising and/or media
Experience/ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines and project manage.
Confidently present and communicate at the senior level and coach others on how to best use research
Experience writing research briefs, designing and reviewing research materials, data analysis and delivering insights/recommendations
Proven relationship management skills with the ability to build and influence
Previous experience within a government organisation is desirable
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Strategic and analytical skills coupled with hands-on experience and an ability to work unsupervised to meet deadlines
To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian Citizen as well as be able to obtain a security clearance.
