We currently have an opportunity for a HSSE Regulatory &Compliance Superintendent to join our team. The role requires the successful candidate to work between our Adelaide office and our Beverley mine site as required by the business and provides a fantastic opportunity to be part of a World leading In-Situ Recovery (ISR) mining company. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated professional with the role of driving change within the group, first by helping to identify key issues and opportunities and then to take ownership for managing and implementing improvements. In order to succeed in this position, you must possess a thirst for knowledge and get a sense of achievement from finding a good outcome to a complex problem. You will be driven to question, understand, continually learn and effectively communicate. We are looking for a proactive and motivated leader who can facilitate outcomes that are both best practice and practical. As this role will also play a key role in ensuring we meet our Compliance requirements, relationship building skills and attention to detail will also be essential. Reporting to the Manager-HSSE, Regulatory & Compliance, Aboriginal and Government Affairs, you will work closely with all aspects of the business.

Implementation of value-add approaches to regulatory monitoring ensuring compliance is maintained.
Identify potential HSSE issues and take the lead in workable, pragmatic sustainable solutions.
Simplify systems (eliminate irrelevant processes).
Ensure timely State and Federal Government approvals, prepare and follow through to approval of all permits and regulatory documents.
Manage the HSSE department on a day to day basis.
The position has a high responsibility for setting, communicating and achieving key targets and goals, and developing timelines and budgets to accomplish those.
Written reporting, verbal communication/presentations and relationship building with all stakeholders so that pragmatic and effective monitoring/reporting arrangements are negotiated and implemented.
High preference for the candidate to have a science background with an interest in or previous experience in regulatory/compliance management and prior experience in effectively managing people.
Radiation License / or prepared to complete the necessary training
Tertiary or post graduate qualifications (relevant fields could include but are not limited to Earth Sciences, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Planning/Management, Environmental Science)
Senior First Aid certificate
Membership of relevant professional organisations
Essential Knowledge and Experience
High level of professional communication skills (report-writing, editorial skills, verbal, presentations).
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop a high performing team with well-developed leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
Experienced in effectively influencing others, identifying obstacle and collaborating across the business to achieve business objectives.
Demonstrated commitment to working as an ethical professional, and experience of working under pressure.
Advanced computer skills in standard MS software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other programs as appropriate to the position.
Specific experience relating to implementing new systems effectively.
High level of experience in developing and leading a Safety Strategy and delivering results.
Expert in providing comprehensive direction to business on safety requirements.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience
Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of geology and/or hydrogeology.
Experience in environmental & radiation monitoring & reporting.

Must be motivated to quickly develop an understanding of the State and Federal regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the operation and the rationale behind our monitoring programs.
Ability to be an effective communicator at all levels of the business (Company director through to plant operator).
Flexible, willing and able to work at both sites (Adelaide and minesite).
